attached to a Renovated Farmhouse, with Pool.

The farmhouse
is situated in its own grounds, with part of the riverbank as its
back boundary. There is a large swimming pool and sun terrace at the
front of the apartments, with a barbecue at the side of the terrace.
Amoreira is well furnished and equipped. There are cool air fans,
radiator and a large library of paperback books available. Iron,
ironing board and cassette player are available on request. There is
management on hand to resolve any problems, and plenty of advice on
the best restaurants, places of interest to visit, or shopping.
The area around Amoreira offers some good walks and climbs to
the top of surrounding hills, on one of which are the remains of
Paderne Castle (recaptured from the Moors in 1248), with a good view
of an old Roman bridge. Close by is the village with some good
Portuguese restaurants and bars.
A 10 minute drive brings you to Albufeira with its long beaches,
windsurfing and water-skiing. Further along the coast you will find
horse riding centres, tennis courts and golf courses. The nightlife
is varied and plentiful, with restaurants, bars, discos and
nightclubs. A ten minute drive away, there is a new shopping complex
with hypermarket, 8 cinemas and bowling alley.
The Apartments:
Each consists of: 1 bedroom with twin beds with en suite
shower/wc and a separate bathroom.
Kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, electric kettle, toaster
and juicer. All crockery, glassware and utensils, plus a cool box
and umbrellas for beach.
Lounge/dining area with 2 bed settees. Sky TV and hair dryer.

Outside:
Swimming Pool (11m x 5m), 1.5m deep (no shallow end), surrounded
by large sun terrace and lawn. Sunbeds, umbrellas, tables and chairs
are provided. The outdoor barbecue is at the side of the terrace and
there is a large chest cooler for your poolside drinks. There is
also the use of a cabinet freezer. |
The beach and town,
are about 11kms away, with the airport being 40kms so therefore
car hire is essential for this holiday and can be arranged at
competitive prices for pick up at the airport.

Change over days: Thursday or Saturday. Arrival after 2.30 pm
and departure by 10.00 am. |
